.01

Favorite place escape...

Anywhere with friends in nature.

.03

Favorite musician...

My taste for music changes all the time... right now I am listening to Andrew Galucki and Joshua Radin. I do love the Lumineers, Ellie Holcomb and anything Coffee House related.

.02

Favorite artist...

I loved teaching the life of Henri Matisse. He was so diverse and adaptable.  My first art crush was Norman Rockwell. I get lost in his story telling and technique.  My heart always skips a beat when I stand in front of a Georgia O'Keeffe, her shapes, brush stroke and interpretation of nature are stunning. Anything from the  Modern Art era. I grew up with an original Miro and Picasso in my home which enticed my appreciation.

.04

Morning Routine...

I wake up slowly, never using an alarm. I enjoy a cup of coffee with husband and dogs, while reading my devotional and writing in my journal.  Afterwards I go for a meditative walk around the neighborhood and then begin painting.

.05

Guilty pleasure...

Sitting on the couch all day and reading a good book. Oh, I will never turn down anything with peanut butter and chocolate (especially ice cream).

  • What happens to all the art you create on your videos?
This might be the most popular question I get! If I like them, I sell them at pop ups. They are such great little treasures to put in a bookshelf or add to a desk. I believe everyone should have an original piece of art no matter the size. PS: They don’t all make it to the “keep” pile and that’s ok… because it’s about the process, not the end product.
  • What paper do you use for watercolors?
I use both 140lb and 300lb cold press watercolor paper made by Arches, IG: @archespapers.
  • What is your favorite watercolor painting?
I use a lot of different brands. I also have no problem mixing them all together. I get great results with M. Graham and Maimeri Blu.
  • Do you offer virtual classes?
Yes, I love connecting with people all over the world. Visit my Book Workshop page for the latest classes available.
  • Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, I love working with people one-on-one. I can design the class around what you want to learn with watercolors. For pricing and availability, email me directly.
